Clubs & Societies

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government sponsored public service scheme conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. The motto of NSS “Not me but you”, reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service. The NSS is a voluntary organization in college that aims to involve students in various community service activities while they are pursuing their education.

The NSS wing in college typically organizes and coordinates activities such as blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, and awareness programs on social issues, voting awareness, environmental conservation initiatives, literacy campaigns, and health camps, among others. The primary goal is to develop the personality and character of students through community service and to instill in them a sense of social responsibility, empathy, and leadership.

ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਈਕੋ-ਕਲੱਬ ਦਾ ਗਠਨ 14 ਮਾਰਚ 2024 ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ| ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਲਾਇਫ ਈ.ਈ. ਪੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਟੇਟ ਕੌਸਲ ਫਾਰ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਐਂਡ ਟੈਕਨੋਲਜੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਦਾਇਤਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਈਕੋ ਕਲੱਬ ਦੇ ਨੋਡਲ ਅਫਸਰ ਪ੍ਰੋ:ਬਬੀਤਾ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਅਧੀਨ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ| ਇਸ ਮੋਕੇ ਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਪਰਮਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਜੱਸਲ ਜੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਲਜ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਫ-ਸੁਥਰਾ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਬੂਟੇ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾ ਦੀ ਸਾਂਭ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ| ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿੱਚ 14 ਮਾਰਚ 2024 ਨੂੰ ਵੇਸਟ ਮਟੀਰੀਅਲ ਦੀ ਸੁਯੋਗ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਵਲੇ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ| 16 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ 2024 ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਫ ਸੁਥਰਾ ਰੱਖਣ ਤੇ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਪੌਦੇ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ| ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੂੜੇਦਾਨ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਆਲੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੀ ਗੰਦਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਯਤਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ| 16 ਜੁਲਾਈ 2024 ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਲਜ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਫ ਸੁਥਰਾ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ‘ਸੁੱਕਾ ਕੂੜਾ’ ਤੇ ‘ਗਿੱਲਾ ਕੂੜਾ’ ਦੇ ਡਸਟਬਿਨ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਤੇ ਲਗਾਏ ਗਏ ਸੀ|

14 ਅਗਸਤ 2024 ਨੂੰ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਦਿਵਸ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ| ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਲਜ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ-ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਤੇ ਬੂਟੇ ਲਗਾਏ ਗਏ| ਇਹਨਾ ਬੂਟਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਮਣ, ਆੜੂ, ਅਮਰੂਦ, ਅੰਬ, ਨਿੰਬੂ ਆਦਿ ਦੇ ਫੱਲ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੂਟੇ ਲਗਾਏ ਗਏ| 12 ਮਾਰਚ 2025 ਨੂੰ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਜਾਗਰੁਕਤਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਹੈ| ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਤੋ ਗਮਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੰਗ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਤੇ ਪਾਰਕ ਦੀ ਸਾਫ ਸਫਾਈ ਵੀ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਗਈ| ਇਹਨਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਫਰੈਸ਼ਮੈਂਟ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ| ਇਸ ਮੋਕੇ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ: ਰੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਬਾਖੂਬੀ ਭੂਮੀਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ| ਸ਼ੈਸ਼ਨ 2024-25 ਦੋਰਾਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੀ ਈਕੋ ਕਲੱਬ ਦੀ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਵੋਤਮ ਸਰਟੀਫ਼ੀਕੇਟ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ|

Commerce department constituted province of Avocational club on 26th February, 2023. The province of avocational club especially indicated group or area of small business. The foundation o this club was laid by the honourable Principal Dr. Parmjit Kaur Jassal. The Computer Department at Guru Nanak Dev University Phillaur is proud to offer a range of clubs and societies that cater to the diverse interests of its students. Mostly Final year students are hosting the society under the supervision of faculty members of department. The Society has a major focus on education and learning. We run workshops to assist students with their studies and host other types of educational events such as talks and guest lectures that help in enhancing their skills. We undertake various projects, organize competitions where students showcase their skills and win amazing prizes. We work with Technical, Sports and many other teams to successfully carry out and perform various tasks at TSS.

ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆ ਦੀ ਰੁਚੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਕਰਾਰ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ‘ਕਾਵਿ-ਕਸੀਦਾ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਾਹਿਤ-ਸਭਾ’ ਦਾ ਗਠਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ| ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮੇਂ-ਸਮੇਂ ‘ਤੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਤੇ ਵਿੱਦਿਅਕ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਕਰਵਾਈਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ| ਇਹਨਾਂ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾਟਕ, ਸਕਿੱਟ, ਲੋਕ-ਗ਼ੀਤ ਗਾਇਨ, ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਯੋਗਿਤਾ, ਕਵਿਤਾ ਗਾਇਨ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਯੋਗਿਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਲੈਕਚਰ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ| ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਕਲੱਬ ਆਪਣੀ ਬਣਦੀ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਂਦਾ ਰਹੇਗਾ

SVEEP is initiative of Election Commission of India under which activities are organized to educate young voters about importance of right to vote.

My Bharat is an initiative of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports to empower Indian youth through social mobility, educational equity, and practical skills.

The College has a Counseling cell where the students with emotional difficulties are listened to and counseled.

The College has a Disaster Risk Reduction club.These clubs will act as platforms to actively engage students and faculty in building awareness,enhancing capacity, and fostering community resilence. counseled.

Red Ribbon Club is a platform to enhance the knowledge levels about HIV/AIDS transmission and to encourage peer to peer messaging on HIV prevention and to provide a safe space for young people to seek clarifications of their doubts and on myths surrounding HIV/AIDS. The RRCs also promote Voluntary Blood Donation (VBD) among youths.
